We want to celebrate your talent!

It is with great excitement that we launch Hello Dorking’s Photography competition.

This competition is to celebrate Surrey Day 2020 on Saturday the 2nd of May.

The competition is designed to celebrate Dorking and the Surrey Hills. The images can be beautiful landscapes, townscapes, people playing, walking or biking in and around Box Hill, Leith Hill, Ranmore and other surrounding areas such as Polesden Lacey and Denbies Vineyard.

There are two photography awards 



We received so many fabulous entries. You can view the runners up gallery below.

The first round of judging took place on Monday 20th April.

The judges were Fiona Ingvarsson from Hello Dorking, Daniel Langer and Rob Mills, both local photographers.

All winners from the first round have been placed in our online gallery for the public vote from Wednesday 22nd April to Friday 1st May 2020.

The final round of judging 

This will take place week commencing Wednesday 22nd April – Friday 1st of May. 



Here we invite the public to be our judges.  Due to the current situation we are inviting people to TEXT VOTE for their favourite image by TEXTING: DORKING and the name of the PHOTOGRAPHER to 88802




We also invite the Directors of Hello Dorking to judge the awards and pick their favourite image. The winners will be decided on Friday 1st May with the announcement on the 2nd May to celebrate Surrey Day.


Awards & Prizes

Our winning photographers will receive a year’s membership to the Royal Photographic Society

Prizes for public voting are now under revision based on the current situation and we shall confirm this asap. There will be five local prizes that winners will be able to enjoy immediately.
