Location 4 - Dorking Museum

Question: How do butterflies taste their food?

Answer: Butterflies or moths, depending on the species. Butterflies use their feet to taste, as taste receptors are located on their feet.

Dorking Museum is a small local history Museum, run entirely by volunteers. The Museum tells the story of Dorking and the surrounding area from Cretaceous times right through to the present day when the 2012 Olympic Road Race came through our town. The museum has a fine collection of local chalk fossils, as well as the mineral collection donated by Lord Ashcombe of Denbies fame. Other key items include a Wedgwood pottery collection.

Next location: Now head to Old Kings Courtyard and look out for the next hidden bug.
