    1. Hi Jane - per our email correspondence, we've received your form and we have you on the list! All our best wishes.

  1. My shop is in North Street, I would imagine also closed to traffic being a one way access to the high street? Would I be able to set up a stall outside my shop to draw people down to North Street??
I would love to be part of the festivities.

    1. Hi Tracey!

Thank you so much for your message. We have proposed to pedestrianise the high street and you are correct, the road will be closed. (Find all details on our consultation page.) We would be delighted to offer you a stall outside your lovely shop, and it would be ideal to also put up signage to direct pedestrians to you. We will also have a programme for the day that will highlight what's on, so if you're offering workshops or special goodies, please let our team know and we will promote widely!

Also if you wanted to take up a gazebo as part of the Christmas Market, we would be delighted to offer this to you. As a BID levy payer, you will have priority for the market.

It is entirely up to you. I shall add you to our participant list now and will follow up with you in due course.

It is going to be fantastic, thank you so much for joining us!

      Best wishes.

  2. Hi there my family has lived in Dorking for 5 generations! And all had different businesses.. now I have my own mobile sweet stall I would absolutely love to attend the event! I have filled a form out and have all correct paperwork needed! Look forward to hearing back from you!

    1. Hi Sian! Thanks so much for your message - I will have a look and share your form with the committee after our event receives final approval! We will be in touch soon! Warm regards, Kathy

  3. Good morning, please could we have a stall for this brilliant event on the 3rd.
Our Charity The Brigitte Trust, would love to do a Christmas Raffle hamper and sell our Christmas cards, also creating awareness about our services our Charity provide across Surrey.

    1. Dear Susan,

Thank you very much for your enquiry! We are currently at full capacity with 60 vendors. Best wishes, Hello Dorking BID

    1. Dear Lucy,

Thank you so much for your enquiry! Rosie has reached out to you separately. Can you check your email please? Thank you so much and speak soon!

      Best wishes!

  4. Please confirm there will be no vehicle access to the St Martin's Walk car park and Meadowbank Stadium between 10am and 8pm. Will there be publicity for the other car parks and how to reach them?

    1. Dear Nick,

Thank you for your enquiry. Yes you are correct, please see exact timings below and yes we will have publicity, stewards, volunteers and signage. We have printed and will distribute flyers, letters and on-street creative to residents and businesses in the area. Diversions will be in place to enable drivers to bypass the town during this period and we will erect signage ahead of time to provide advance notice.

      As a reminder:
Roads to be closed will be: North Street, West Street and Dorking High Street from Pump Corner to Moores Road.

The closure will also affect all tributary roads leading on to the High Street from Pump Corner to Moores Road (Mill Road, Ansell Road, Wathen Road, Old London Road, Lyons Court, Dene Street, Paper Mews and Moores Road).

West Street Closure: 11:30-6pm (from Junction Road)
      High Street Closure: 10-8pm
South Street Closure: Parking Bays suspended beginning: 12am - 2nd December to 8pm - 3rd December

To facilitate this event advance notification signs will be erected warning road users to expect potential delays and managed access for residents will be put in place by event stewards.

Any questions at all, please let us know. Thank you, Kathy
