The Business Hothouse

The Business Hothouse is a free business support service, run by experienced business experts, created to help any business or individual based in the coast-to-capital area. We can offer our expert support for free because we’re funded through the ERDF and HM Government.

What we do

We offer a range workshops, intensive programmes and 1-2-1 mentoring sessions that aim to bridge the business community’s knowledge gaps across:

  • Starting a business successfully
  • Finding and applying for business finance & funding
  • Increasing productivity across your business
  • Developing leadership & management skills
  • Taking a new product or service from an idea to a launch-ready entity
  • Accessing the Invest4 Grant Fund

Anyone aged 18+ who is a U.K. resident can access 12 hours of free sessions.

Invest4 Grant Fund

We also run The Invest4 Grant Fund, which can award funding of between £2,000 and £170,000 to start-ups and established businesses in the coast-to-capital area which meet the eligibility criteria. You can discover quickly if your business or start-up will be approved for an award by attending one of our free remote workshops that are held regularly through our partners, WSX Enterprise  and GetSetForGrowth. Over 90% of applications to the fund are successful.

Accessing the free sessions

We run our free sessions on an almost daily basis, the best way to keep up-to-date with them is to sign up to our Emailer, check our Eventbrite Page and/or connect with us on our Social Channels where we regularly post their details.
