The Dorking Camera Club, est 1955, is delighted to be working with Dorking Town Partnership to launch their public Photographic Competition, Changing Seasons.
WHO CAN ENTER
Group 1 – Under 18s, judged by popular voting
Group 2 – Over 18s, judged by a select committee of Dorking Camera Club – a group of highly experienced members who regularly select work to be entered for external national competitions.
WHAT CAN I TAKE?
Your entry must have been taken in the Dorking / Surrey Hills area. Take stunning images that show the changing seasons (Summer melting into Autumn) during September, October, and November.
Some tips we offer our members:
Light: the sunlight at this time of year is generally best in the early morning or near sunset known as the ‘golden hour’.
Composition: look through the lens awhile before pressing the shutter. Is everything balanced?
Focus: is everything in focus?
Post-processing: if using post-processing software do not over-saturate the colours or make them appear unnatural.
WHAT CAN I WIN
Group 1 – Under 18s
First prize: Kodak Printomatic Digital Instant Print Camera, a half-day workshop with one of our most experienced Landscape photographers, plus a framed print of your winning photo.
Second prize: Framed print of your photo.
